As One (Japanese: じんばいったい Rider and Mount in Unison) is the name of two separate Abilities introduced in Generation VIII. Each one is the signature Ability of Calyrex in either its Ice Rider or Shadow Rider forms.

Effect

In battle

As Ice Rider Calyrex, this Ability combines the effects of both Calyrex's Unnerve Ability and Glastrier's Chilling Neigh Ability.

As Shadow Rider Calyrex, this Ability combines the effects of both Calyrex's Unnerve Ability and Spectrier's Grim Neigh Ability.

Both versions of As One are functionally distinct, despite having the same name.

When a Calyrex with As One is sent into battle, the Ability causes the message "<name> has two Abilities!" to pop up. Any entry hazards activate after the message. Subsequent triggers that cause one of the component Abilities to pop up a message do so citing the name of the Ability as Unnerve, Chilling Neigh, or Grim Neigh as appropriate, rather than As One.

Gastro Acid, Worry Seed, and Simple Beam fail if the target has either version of As One. Role Play, Skill Swap, Entrainment, and Doodle fail if either Pokémon has As One. As One cannot be copied by Trace, Power of Alchemy, or Receiver. As One cannot be replaced by Mummy or Lingering Aroma, suppressed by Core Enforcer or Neutralizing Gas, or traded by Wandering Spirit.

Outside of battle

As One has no effect outside of battle.

• As One, specifically Shadow Rider Calyrex's, is the last Generation VIII Ability in index number order.
• As One shares its Japanese name, Jinba ittai (人馬一体, "person [and] horse [as] one body"), with a mechanic from Pocket Card Jockey, a horse-racing Solitaire game developed by Game Freak in 2013.
