List of event Pokmon distributions in Pokmon Scarlet and Violet

This is a reverse-chronological list of event Pokémon distributions that were given away via the various mystery gift function to Pokémon games in Generation IX. A subscription to Nintendo Switch Online is not required to claim Mystery Gifts on Nintendo Switch games.

Events can be distributed to the game in 3 ways: Internet events can be received without the need to input any password or serial code. Serial "codes" are one-time use codes. "Passwords" are codes that can be used by any number of people, but are usually limited to one redemption per save file.

Prior to patch 2.0.1, Pokémon redeemed in Generation IX would always have a secret ID of 0000 (unless they were set to use the receiving player's Trainer ID). Historically, the secret ID was identical to the Wonder Card ID, and the Wonder Card data for Generation IX still defines the secret ID as the Wonder Card ID; however, Pokémon Scarlet and Violet version 1.3.2 and earlier was programmed to nullify this when the Wonder Card ID was equal to the Secret ID.

Some Patches changed how the game reads wonder card data, as such a Pokémon redeemed before these patches may have different characteristics than a Pokémon redeemed after these patches:

• Patch 1.2.0 (released February 27, 2023) affected how scale data is read on the wonder card, before this patch all Pokémon received through mystery gift would have their scale value assigned randomly between 0 and 255 upon redemption. With the Patch Blocks were added to the wonder card data to enable the scale value to be fixed, which most events post this patch take advantage of.
• Patch 1.3.0 (released April 20, 2023) affected how nicknames are assigned, prior to the patch, if a specific nickname wasn't defined in the wondercard, a Pokémon's nickname would default to the default name of the Pokémon in the language that the player receiving the event is playing in. With this patch, unless defined otherwise in the wondercard, a Pokémon's nickname will always default to the Pokémon's name that would be expected based on the origin language of the Pokémon Redeemed. (I.e. A Japanese Pikachu on an English save would have a default nickname of "Pikachu" before 1.3.0 and "ピカチュウ" after the patch).

Nils Dunlop's Porygon2

This Pokémon was distributed via password on June 7, 2024 in commemoration of the 2024 Pokémon North America International Championships, based on the Porygon2 used by Nils Dunlop in the 2023 European International Championships. This Porygon2 has 5 perfect IVs and 0 in Speed. It also has 252 EVs in HP, 126 in Defense, 92 in Special Attack, 36 in Special Defense and 4 in Attack.

Kaito Arii's Talonflame

This Pokémon was distributed via password on June 1, 2024 in commemoration of the 2024 Pokémon Japan Championships, based on the Talonflame used by Kaito Arii in the 2023 Japan Pokémon Championships. This Talonflame has 6 perfect IVs. It also has 252 EVs in Attack, 158 in HP, 92 in Speed, 4 in Defense and 4 in Special Defense.

Dot's Quaxly

Dot's Quaxly from Pokémon Horizons: The Series was distributed via password between May 18 and November 30, 2024. This Quaxly has 29 IVs in Special Attack and 20 in all other stats.

Melvin Keh's Gyarados

This Pokémon was distributed via password on May 12, 2024 in commemoration of the 2024 Pokémon Asia Championships, based on the Gyarados used by Melvin Keh in the 2023 Singapore Pokémon Championships. This Gyarados has 6 perfect IVs, and 252 EVs in HP.

Shin Yeo-myeong's Flutter Mane

This Pokémon was distributed via password on May 5, 2024 in commemoration of the 2024 Korean Pokémon Trainers Cup, based on the Flutter Mane used by Shin Yeo-myeong in the 2023 Korean Pokémon Trainers Cup. The password was revealed on its official live stream. This Flutter Mane has 5 perfect IVs and 0 in Attack, and, as well as 252 EVs in Speed, 196 in Special Attack, 36 in Defense, 20 in HP and 4 in Special Defense.

Marco Silva's Iron Hands

This Pokémon was distributed via password from April 5 to 8, 2024 in commemoration of the 2024 European Video Game Championships, based on the Iron Hands used by Marco Silva in the 2023 Latin America Video Game Championships. The password was revealed on its official live stream. This Iron Hands has 6 perfect IVs, as well as 252 EVs in Special Defense, 124 in HP, 76 in Attack, 52 in Speed and 4 in Defense.

Liko's Sprigatito

Liko's Sprigatito from Pokémon Horizons: The Series was distributed via password between March 15 and September 30, 2024. This Sprigatito has 29 IVs in Special Defense and 20 in all other stats.

YOASOBI's Pawmot

This Pawmot was distributed via password to players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet from March 13th, 2024 to February 28th, 2025. It is loosely based on Nemona's Pawmot from the Biri-Biri music video, performed by YOASOBI. The ID number is a reference to the release date of the Biri-Biri single, which was released on November 18th, 2023. This Pawmot has 31 IVs in Speed and 20 in all other stats.

Project Kabigon Toissho Snorlax

Following on from the Project Pochama promotion in 2022, this Snorlax was distributed via serial code to players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet at the Pokémon Centers in Japan from February 23 to 29, 2024 during the "Let's Continue with Snorlax" promotion commemorating the final events of the larger プロジェクトカビゴン (Project Kabigon) marketing campaign. A pamphlet with a serial code could be obtained by telling a store employee the phrase "Kabigon Toissho" during the distribution period. The codes are single-use. This Snorlax has 22 IVs in HP and 20 IVs in all other stats. The codes expired on March 31, 2024 at 14:59 (UTC).

CoroCoro Paradox Pokémon

Codes for various Paradox Pokémon will be distributed in the February 2024 issue of CoroCoro Comic, which will be sold starting on January 15, 2024. These Pokémon will randomly have 3 perfect IVs. Two codes will be given in each magazine which can be either redeemed for a Flutter Mane and Iron Jugulis; a Scream Tail and Iron Hands; or a Brute Bonnet and Iron Thorns. The codes expire on March 14, 2024 at 14:59 (UTC).

As all Pokémon share the same Wonder Card ID, players can only redeem one of the six Pokémon on a single save file.

Winter Festa 2023 Baxcalibur

This Baxcalibur can be received in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet via serial code to players attended the Winter Festa 2023 at the COEX Convention & Exhibition Center in Seoul, South Korea. It could be redeemed from December 30, 2023 to February 10, 2024 at 14:59 UTC.

CoroCoro Roaring Moon & Iron Valiant

Codes for Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant were distributed in the January 2024 issue of CoroCoro Comic, which was sold starting on December 15, 2023. These Pokémon randomly have 3 perfect IVs.

As both Pokémon share the same Wonder Card ID, players could only redeem one of the two Pokémon (either Roaring Moon or Iron Valiant) on a single save file.

This Lucario was distributed from December 7 to 21, 2023 at 23:59 (UTC) to commemorate the release of Part 2 of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC: The Indigo Disk. This Lucario has 4 perfect IVs as well as 20 IVs in Defense and Special Defense. This distribution coincided with a internet distribution of a Master Ball, that began on December 14, 2023.

Darkrai

This Darkrai was distributed from December 7 to 21, 2023 at 23:59 (UTC) alongside a Dialga and Palkia tera raid event. The distribution coincided with the last new moon of 2023, which occurred on December 12, 2023 at 23:32 (UTC).

Team Star's Revavroom

After the airing of the third episode of Pokémon: Paldean Winds, the password to get the Revavroom shown in the episode became available. This Revavroom has 31 IVs in Attack and 20 IVs in all other stats, as well as 252 EVs in Attack. It is housed in a Heal Ball, similar to the ones Eri uses for her Pokémon in the games.

This Pokémon was distributed via password from November 17 to 20, 2023 in commemoration of the 2023 Latin American Video Game Championships, based on the Dragapult used by Alex Gómez Berna in the 2023 North American Video Game Championships. The password was revealed on its official live stream. This Dragapult has 31 IVs in all stats, as well as 252 EVs in Attack, 212 in Speed, 28 in Special Defense, 12 in HP, and 4 in Defense.

Pokémon Store Fidough

This Fidough was distributed via password from November 3 to December 31, 2023 in South Korea in commemoration of the physical Pokémon Scarlet or Violet with The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero dlc bundle going on sale. It was distributed in 5 different Pokémon pop-up stores over two release windows between November 3-30, 2023. The codes expire on December 31, 2023.

Between November 3 and November 15, codes were distributed at the pop-up stores in the following locations:

• LOTTE Department Store Incheon
• LOTTE Department Store Dongtan

Between November 17 and November 30, codes were distributed at the pop-up stores in the following locations:

This Fidough is the first-ever event Pokémon distributed with two ribbon slots occupied, being distributed with both the Classic Ribbon and the Uncommon Mark.

Pokémon Center Birthday Pawmi & Charcadet

These Pawmi and Charcadet were distributed via serial code to players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet at Pokémon Center in Japan, Singapore and Taiwan from November 1, 2023 to October 31, 2024, if they visited during the month of their birthday, but only if they provided proof of their date of birth and Nintendo Switch.

As both Pokémon share the same Wonder Card ID, players could only redeem one of the two Pokémon (Either Pawmi or Charcadet) on a single save file.

A Mimikyu was distributed to Players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet through various retailers in commemoration of Halloween. The codes were first distributed by Nintendo at BGS 2023 in São Paulo on October 11, 2023. It was distributed at Gamestops in the US and Canada from October 13, 2023 to October 29, 2023. It could be redeemed until January 1, 2024 at 7:59 UTC.

Glaseado Mountain Cetitan

After the airing of the first episode of Pokémon: Paldean Winds, the password to get the Cetitan shown in the episode became available.

This Pokémon was distributed via Password from August 10 at 22:00 to 14, 2023 at 23:59 (UTC) in commemoration of the 2023 Pokémon World Championships in Yokohama, Japan. The password was revealed on its official live stream. This Gastrodon has 31 IVs in HP, Defense, Special Attack, and Special Defense, 8 IVs in Speed, and 0 IVs in Attack, as well as 180 EVs in HP, 144 in Special Defense, and 92 in Defense and Special Attack.

My very own Mew

This Mew was distributed as part of the Get Mew & Mewtwo! Poké Portal News event announced during the Pokémon Presents of August 8, 2023. This Mew comes in 18 different varieties, each corresponding to a different Tera Type, each of which has an equal 5.55% (1 in 18) chance of being received by the redeemer. This Mew has 3 maxed IVs in three random stats, and is coded never to appear as Shiny. The password could be redeemed until September 18, 2023 at 14:59 (UTC).

2023 World Championships Stretchy Form Tatsugiri

This Pokémon was distributed at the 2023 World Championships to both participants and attendees of the event. Additional serial codes for this Tatsugiri were also distributed from August 2, 2023 to first 10,000 Participants from the United States of the 2023 Pokémon World Championships Fantasy Team. In Japan, further distributions took place between August 8 and 14, 2023 where serial codes were distributed between 11:00 and 18:00 each day at the following venues around Yokohama:

This Grimmsnarl was distributed via password to players of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet as part of the 2023 Worlds Pika Fiesta! campaign. The password was released in a series of YouTube videos released in South Asian countries and could be used to redeem a Shiny Grimmsnarl based on the one used by Chaiyawat Traiwichcha at the Championships Thailand 2022 tournament. This Grimmsnarl has 31 IVs in all stats except for Attack in which it has 0. It also has 252 EVs in HP, 212 in Defense and 36 in Special Defense as well as 4 in both Special Attack and Speed. The original Grimmsnarl used by Chaiyawat Traiwichcha knew Burning Jealousy, which was replaced by Spirit Break since the former move is not available in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet.

It was distributed to players who visited between April 22 and June 30, 2023, but only if they provide proof of owning Pokémon Scarlet or Violet on their Nintendo Switch. Two codes were distributed to players who showed proof of ownership for both Scarlet and Violet. Players can use these single use codes in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet. Jiseok Lee's Garganacl

This Pokémon was distributed via password from February 16 to 20, 2023 in commemoration of the 2023 Oceania Video Game Championships, based on the Garganacl used by Jiseok Lee in the 2023 San Diego Regional Championships. The password was revealed on its official live stream. This Garganacl has fixed IVs in all stats: 22 in Special Attack and 31 in all remaining stats, as well as 252 EVs in HP, 198 in Special Defense and 60 in Defense.

Flying Terastal Pikachu

This Pikachu with a Tera type of Flying can be received in Pokémon Scarlet and Violet via Mystery Gift as an early purchase gift from November 18, 2022 to February 28, 2023. This Pikachu knows the move Fly. Despite the player being its original trainer, it cannot be nicknamed.

Pikachu redeemed prior to February 3, 2023 could only be male and had both height and weight values fixed at 128, however the size value, (which determines actual model size and Mini/Jumbo Mark eligibility), was not fixed to any specific value.
