Calm Mind (Japanese: めいそう Meditation) is a non-damaging Psychic-type move introduced in Generation III. It is: Effect Calm Mind raises the user's Special Attack and Special Defense stats by one stage each. Calm Mind can be used as the first move of a Pokémon Contest combination, causing Confusion, Dream Eater, Future Sight, Light Screen, Luster Purge, Meditate, Mist Ball, Psybeam, Psychic, Psycho Boost, Psywave, and Reflect to score double the normal appeal if used in the next turn.
