Fire types
Charizard wins. He took down three pokemon in his rival match, two of which he had critical disadvantages with. Especially since one was the rivals signiture pokemon at the time. Infernape sruggled to take down one pokemon, when they hit each other for normall damage. He relies on his ability to win battles. Water Types
Either Squirtle or Kingler. While squirtle has been shown to be legendary, kingler would put up a strong fight, and it would ultimatly come down to what the writters felt like. Read More...
This is actually pretty plausible. In the United States, we're used to thinking of adoption as something people do out of their own good hearts or when they cannot have a child themselves. In Japan, however, adoption is more of something more high-class people do when they feel that the heir they do have is incompetent, or they haven't been able to get one for whatever reason - in Giovanni's case it might be lack of a wife.
